Now to the news report on the latest English language changes!
The nation’s Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has made public a change to the English test results that are suitable as an evidence of language ability. The same now states that since May 27, 2018 the TOEFL Paper-Based Test is not accepted for the petitions filed for the Subcategory 500 Student Visa.
Post the TOEFL-PBT was reviewed in the month of October during the year gone by it did not have a measurement for speaking English, while testing of the English language speaking skills is a condition for the evaluation of a candidate’s English ability.
As per the DHA, the testing of the English language speaking abilities is tailored to guarantee that the aspirants possess the capability to converse fruitfully in face-to-face circumstances inside the Kangaroo Land.
Thanks to this change in the test, the DHA has now omitted the TOEFL-PBT from the suitable English tests for the Student Visas. Earlier, the paper-based test was accepted from certain countries.
Though the DHA continue to acknowledge the TOEFL internet based test results, it’s reportedly not one of the most preferred tests in Oz.
Post the change, now these are the other three acceptable English language tests, namely, the International English Language Testing System; the Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English); and the Pearson Test of English Academic and Occupational English Test.
To ensure that the test results are suitably acknowledged, it is compulsory that the test is taken no more than two years prior to one submits his visa petition.
