A new survey released the other day by a student organization suggests that about two-thirds of the college students plan to move out following their graduation from the various Irish colleges. The survey mentions superior opportunities related to job as a key factor behind the desire of the Irish students to leave the shores of the nation.
For the said study, over 1,200 university students were covered across the country even as it came to the conclusion that 91% of the students were concerned about their future prospects in the country, and that the majority was unanimous that they would require to leave the nation to make their career brighter and better.
In the meantime, 37% of those, who disclosed they intended to move out, said they would leave soon after concluding their graduation even while 39% said that -- prior to resorting to moving to another nation -- they would look for jobs in Ireland. The rest of the 24% said they planned to move out during the next couple of years.
Nearly 28% of the students covered by the survey mentioned Australia as their favorite place while 20% gave this distinction to the US. Great Britain, Canada and Europe were the other leading places for which the students expressed their desire to migrate to.
Nearly 52% of those who saw themselves moving out post graduation said that they planned on staying overseas for the near future. Significantly, more than 90% of those, who became a part of the study, opined that Dublin was not doing much to stop young individuals from leaving the country, in favor of other destinations.
