This Skilled Migration Program for the financial year of 2022-23 shall cater to both onshore as well as offshore candidates as well as open the routes comprising of skilled workers, graduates, as well as small business owners.
Also, the Migration Queensland has assigned a limited interim nomination from the Department of Home Affairs for a program catering to business. Another pathway is the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa or subclass 491 which permits skilled workers who are nominated to live as well as work in regional Queensland for a time period of 5 years with a PR route to its name.
You can take up employment in Queensland via work from one or more employers, work at dual part-time jobs or even in your own business with the role of an owner operator. To be qualified for the 491 visas you should live and work in the 4019–4022, 4025, 4037, 4074, 4076–4078, 4124–4125, 4133, 4183–4184, 4207–4275, 4280–4287, 4300–4301, 4303–4498, 4500–4512, 4514–4519, 4521, 4550–4575, 4580–4895 post codes.
Please keep in mind and have it noted that if you presently hold the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa or subclass 491 or have applied for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa or subclass 491 you shall not be qualified for the nomination of Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa or subclass 190.
The above mentioned post codes are applicable to the applicants who have been nominated and have applied for their 491 visa from 5 March 2022. To be qualified for the nomination from Queensland, you should meet the eligibility requirements for both Australian Department of Home Affairs criteria and Migration Queensland for the visa stream chosen by you.
