The Migration Queensland Program shall be open from 16th August, 2022 along with the new nomination criteria and factsheets that will be published. This program shall now accept a fresh and new Expression of Interest or EOI submitted on Skillselect from the 16 August 2022 and the one’s which were submitted before this date shall not be sent an invitation.

Make sure that before submission you have thoroughly gone through and understood the new requirements which is in accordance to your respective pathway or stream, and also meet all of them prior to EOI submission. This Skilled Migration Program for the financial year of 2022-23 shall cater to both onshore as well as offshore candidates as well as open the routes comprising of skilled workers, graduates, as well as small business owners.

Also, the Migration Queensland has assigned a limited interim nomination from the Department of Home Affairs for a program catering to business. This business program shall be continually be open for the Subclass 188 or the Business Innovation stream, Subclass 188 which is also known as Investor stream as well as the Subclass 188 which is also called the Significant Investor stream. There shall be two pathways under this Migration Queensland Program for 2022-2023

The Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa or subclass 190 is open for offshore skilled workers who are interested to live and work on a permanent basis in the Australian state of Queensland. Another pathway is the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa or subclass 491 which permits skilled workers who are nominated to live as well as work in regional Queensland for a time period of 5 years with a PR route to its name.

You can take up employment in Queensland via work from one or more employers, work at dual part-time jobs or even in your own business with the role of an owner operator. To be qualified for the 491 visas you should live and work in the 4019–4022, 4025, 4037, 4074, 4076–4078, 4124–4125, 4133, 4183–4184, 4207–4275, 4280–4287, 4300–4301, 4303–4498, 4500–4512, 4514–4519, 4521, 4550–4575, 4580–4895 post codes.

Please keep in mind and have it noted that if you presently hold the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa or subclass 491 or have applied for Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa or subclass 491 you shall not be qualified for the nomination of Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa or subclass 190.

The above mentioned post codes are applicable to the applicants who have been nominated and have applied for their 491 visa from 5 March 2022. To be qualified for the nomination from Queensland, you should meet the eligibility requirements for both Australian Department of Home Affairs criteria and Migration Queensland for the visa stream chosen by you.
