According to certain fresh reports, Canada has witnessed the loss of 55,000 jobs in March 2013 even while these job cuts are more than what the government had allegedly promised. Nearly every Canadian province has undergone job cuts in the said month.
The same has boosted the rate of unemployment to 7.2%. It has painfully surprised many financial experts, observers, & stock market. The said job losses for March 2013 have been one of the biggest since February 2009 when an alarming 69,300 employment opportunities had been cut down in the country.
Though a swell of 6,500 job-openings was expected in the nation the last month, the outcome appears to go against the predictions. What`s more: the job gains in February have been neutralized by the BIG loss of employment opportunities in the nation during March 2013.
Employment Rate Heads North
But the positive news is that the job scenario by and large appears all right since the world economic recession. Meanwhile, some financial experts have predicted that a humble rate of job growth (from 5,000 to 10,000 every month) for the rest of the months of 2013.
Loss of 29,000 Federal Work-opportunities Likely
In a related development, a concerned leading economist has claimed that by 2016, close to 29,000 federal jobs will be lost inflecting the nationals in a BIG way even as the same will bring down the number of the federal personnel by 8%. He added that--prior to making such job cuts--the nationals should have been suitably notified about the services likely to be affected.
