National Occupational Classification Canada List 2024

Immigrant applicants with work experience in any skilled occupation are invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada through Canada Express Entry system; but, expertise in a high-demand occupation in Canada may be advantageous at the province level.

There are federal and provincial economic immigration routes to Canada, and each has its own work experience requirements.

The primary way for skilled immigrants to apply for a Canada PR Visa is through the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). To be eligible for this program, one of the major requirements is to have work experience in any one of the eligible occupations. The PR visa process is open to any qualified immigrant with the appropriate work experience in in-demand occupations.
