In a pretty significant and positive development, which is likely to make the national of many nations much happy, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently disclosed that five additional nations have been made a part of the list of the qualified nations -- the nationals of which may take part in the much-talked about and highly useful immigration and visa programs of the H-2A and the H-2B this year. Now the said list has as many as 58 nations even as it will be evaluated once more one year, after the date of official publication.
Significantly, these visa programs enable the job-providers of the prosperous and much preferred North American destination to have overseas workers on its shores to fill-in the vacant posts, in temporary agricultural and temporary non-agricultural fields. Usually, the USCIS may just endorse petitions for the H-2A and H-2B for the people of those nations which are designated as qualified to take part in the involved visa programs.
The concerned body may also sanction the petitions for the H-2A and H-2B for the people of nations not mentioned on the list -- provided it is of the considered opinion that such a development would be in the overall interest of the US. Apart from the 53 nations duly covered on the list, the nations of Montenegro, Haiti, Iceland, Switzerland, and Spain have been added for this year further increasing the overall tally that stand to gain.
