EU Chiefs Urge for Improved Immigration, Open Markets for More Economic Development

In a significant development, the chiefs of 12 European Union (EU) member states, which include the British Prime Minister, have reportedly favored improved and more labor movement within the borders of the Union, to boost job growth and also assist the economy.

The other day, a letter in this regard was issued, even while the finance ministers of the Euro Zone congregated to endorse the bailout package of ?110 for Greece, which, still is facing severe economic crisis. The chiefs of several member nations, such as Britain, Ireland and Spain, etc., inked the letter even as they reportedly expressed that they preferred the migrants to stay at places which had jobs for them.

These select few went on to assert that, courtesy pension law, it had become tough for people to migrate and agree to do jobs in another EU country. At the present, workers time and again lose their rights related to pension, when they make attempts to change firms and move overseas.

The letter urging the EU -- which settles trade deals on the behalf of the involved 27 countries -- stated that important action to deliver open global markets was something quite essential and the need of the hour. It went on to add that free-trade deals that the Union was discussing with certain nations like Canada, India, and Asian economies, may add a handsome EUR 90 billion to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the EU.
