In a development, which is likely to motivate all migrants to Canada, and also those planning to immigrate to it, a new study undertaken recently hints that Canadians have increasingly been becoming more tolerant of the levels of immigration of the nation, in the backdrop of the fast rising numbers of newcomers to the nation, with the passage of time.
A poll in this connection found that 58% of Canadians covered by a survey the year before approved the nation's level of immigration. The research also implies that Canadians have a favorable view of the levels of immigration for over 10 years or so. These findings rubbish the claim that the people of Canada could be becoming intolerant of welcoming the newcomers to their nation, certain negative news stories carried in Quebec related to disputes over minority accommodations notwithstanding.
The study also suggests that the Canadians are more receptive about the immigrants, as compared to the residents of Spain, Italy, Germany, and the US, among others. A 2010 survey done before in this connection further boosts this claim. It was then found that nearly 60% of the residents of England were of the opinion that their nation had more than the acceptable numbers of immigrants even while only 20% or so of the Canadians echoed these negative sentiments about the immigrants.
