The annual report provides the Canada Govt an opportunity to inform the people about the current Immigration system in the country.
- Canada welcomed over 1 Million Immigrants (Skilled & Business, Students & Work Permit Holders) in the year 2019
- No. Of Skilled & Business Immigrants - 341,000
- No. Of International Students - Over 400,000
- No. Of Work Permit Allowed - 400,000
- Around 200,000 immigrants arrived under economic class in 2019 which is 60% of the Total Permanent Residents.
- Majority of the immirants landed in Ontario (71%), British Columbia (17% and Alberta (8%)
- Over 90,000 Immigrants arrived in Canada under family class in 2019. The Immigration department is showing progress in clearing application backlogs.
