Skilled Independent Migrant Visa - Subclass 175

This visa is designed for people who have skills and qualifications, which meets the Australian standards.

To qualify for this subclass, the applicant’s occupation must be listed on the skilled occupation list of Australia and the primary applicant must be less than 45 years of age and to meet the required pass marks of 120 points.

The applicant also has to pay a non-refundable visa charge when the applicant lodges the applicant’s visa application. The charges are as per following details:

Ist Installment : Between $ 300 to 650 depends on the applicant’s occupation
2nd installment : $2060 (Primary applicant must have a competent level of English.
He must clear IELTS General Training Test and score 6.0 bands on each module of the test)
3rd installment : $2860 (For dependents who are 18 and over and with less than functional English). Spouse and Children above 18 years have to clear IELTS General Training Test and score average band score of at least 4.5 bands on the 4 modules of the test)

This visa allows the applicant to

  • Visit in and out of Australia as many times as long as the visa is valid.
  • Stay and work in Australia on a permanent basis.
  • Allows the applicant to study in Australia.
  • Have the applicant’s family accompany the applicant to Australia. They will have access to work and study rights. Those who can accompany the applicant includes the applicant’s spouse and children.
  • Sponsor people for permanent residence.

A dependent child is one who is

  • The natural or adopted child, or step-child, or a person (other than a child who has a spouse or is engaged to be married), being a child who has not turned 18 years of age or has turned 18 years of age and is dependent on the applicant or is incapacitated for work due to the total or partial loss of the child’s body or mental functions.

This visa is a permanent residence visa for 5 years. Visa allows the applicant to travel to an enter Australia for five years from the date the visa is granted.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be below 45 years of age
  • The applicant have qualifications and the applicant’s occupation is listed under Skilled Occupation List
  • The applicant has competent level of English proficiency with a required band score.
  • The applicant and the applicant’s spouse must meet certain health requirements and are required to undergo a health examination.
  • The applicant must be of good character for the applicant to enter Australia.
  • All applicants aged 18 years or over, are required to sign an Australian values statement. The statement is included in the applicant’s visa application form and all applicants aged 18 years and over will need to sign it to confirm that they will respect the Australian way of life and obey Australian laws.

Applying for Visa in this option

There are two steps in the application process for this visa. The applicant need to complete each step before progressing to the next.

  • Step I- The applicant must apply for Skills assessment under the required assessing body.
  • Step II- The applicant must complete and lodge his application.

Skilled Sponsored Migrant Visa - Subclass 176

This visa is designed for people who have skills and qualifications, which meets the Australian standards.

To qualify for this subclass, the applicant’s occupation must be listed on the skilled occupation list of Australia and the primary applicant must be less than 45 years of age, have competent level of English proficiency and eligible relative staying in Australia who is ready to sponsor his/her application. The primary applicant also has to meet the required pass marks of 100 points.

The applicant also has to pay a non-refundable visa charge he lodges the applicant’s visa application. The charges are as per following details:

Ist Installment : Between $ 300 to 650 depends on the applicant’s occupation.
2nd installment : $2060 (Primary applicant must have a competent level of English.

Skilled Regional Sponsored (Provisional) Visa - Subclass 475

This visa is designed for people who have skills and qualifications but not able to meet the required pass marks for permanent residence visa, but meet the Australian standards. This is temporary visa for three years.

To qualify for this subclass, the applicant occupation must be listed on the skilled occupation list of Australia and the primary applicant must be less than 45 years of age, have competent level of English proficiency and eligible relative staying in designated area in Australia, who is ready to sponsor his/her application or nominated by a state government. The primary applicant also has to meet the required pass marks of 100 points.

The applicant also has to pay a non-refundable visa charge when he lodges the visa application. The charges are as per following details:

Ist Installment : Between $ 300 to 650 depends on the applicant’s occupation.
2nd installment : $2060(Primary applicant must have a competent level of English.

This visa is a temporary visa for 3 years. Visa allows the applicant to travel to enter regional areas of Australia for three years from the date the visa is granted.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be below 45 years of age
  • The applicant have qualifications and occupation is listed under Skilled Occupation List
  • The applicant has competent level of English proficiency with a required band score.
  • The applicant and the applicant’s spouse have a blood relative staying in designated areas of Australia and ready to sponsor the applicant’s application or sponsored by a participating state
  • The applicant and the applicant’s spouse must meet certain health requirements and are required to undergo a health examination.
  • The applicant must be of good character for the applicant to enter Australia.
  • All applicant’s aged 18 years or over are required to sign an Australian values statement. The statement is included in the applicant’s visa application form and all applicants aged 18 years and over will need to sign it to confirm that they will respect the Australian way of life and obey Australian laws
